Finally warm enough up here in Ont to set the catfish lines last weekend. Ended up with 20 fish. Was wondering how close your hooks are and how long a line you usually run. My buddy and I have some 40 yrd lines and 10 years ago made one 150 yrds long. We fish a lake shore with sandy bottom so the ...

Yep it's pretty bad when the smallest percentage of 80 000 waterfowl hunters for the ENTIRE province of Ontario is hunting on Dec 20 I know it's chore but someone has to do it

Duck season is over for another year up here in Ont. Went out the last day Dec 20. I absolutely couldn't have asked for a better closing day. 45mph winds 40degree temps kept the birds flying all day. My buddy, his dad and myself closed out the season in an hour with 18 greenheads and 4 bands, go ...

Sorry boys I wish I had better news for you but the weather up here in S. Ontario and the like is just too warm. It was 17Ctoday(67F). Last year at this time there was 3 inches of ice on the marsh and most of the birds had moved on. Sit tight and they will arrive. On the positive side maybe a bit ...

Without question he let over 100 mallards pass over him @ anywhere between 10 and 35 yards Sat morning ...

duck season tomorrow
Back from guiding and the day was excellent. The weather has been wet lately and about 70 degrees. There are a ton of blue wings still around and there seems to be more than average numbers of mallards for this time of year. Hunted a flooded corn field in the am with two owners and then a more ...

This Dales seasoning must be good if two guys in a row mention it. Let me know if somebody would mail some up to me and I will cover the cost of it and throw in a duck band for your trouble.

Sorry to read about your bad situation. Ever think about getting a dog. My wife and I came home late one night and we could hear our dogs going berzerk in the house when we got out of the car. It seems that a guy had figured he could handle a dog with a hammer so in he came. I guess he didn't count ...
