Sam,
You originally from Kiwi-land? You sure sound like you got some strait up CoonAss in your blood... I mean that in a good way.
me and you would get along, I'd even bring you a pair of waders so them eels don't get one of those lower digits. Or something more important for that matter. :shock ...

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
What ever happened to ole Sam?
Well Ole Sam is still out there hunting and fishing in the Far North of New Zealand. Opening day was fun. I had a French guy come on the tour. We caught an eel and smoked it up. YUM. Then we shot some greyduck, swan and a pig. We stuffed the ducks inside the swan ...

Re: Questions about Puppy food brands
My pup has eaten over 20 possums this week. He looks great! I bring all my dogs up on it along with brown rice and vege's. My 13yr old bitch can still run for miles and kill a possum with her blunt teeth.

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
Still a bit of hunting season left in New Zealand if anyone wants to join me. I recently spent 3 days on the water cruising down the Awanui river to the Rangaunu Harbour. Shooting ducks, Parries etc and caught a couple of fish too. There are hundreds of waterfowl this year. A hunters dream. I met 2 ...

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
Yes, that's me on the www.sausagemaking.org site. I found it very helpful when I wanted to know how to make Possages. That's right, Possum Sossys. Using the intestine for the casing. Not to be confused with the Opossums you will be used to getting into your garbage and playing dead on the road. Our ...

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
Introducing Gators must have a major effect on ur environment. Can't think why anyone would want to do that. I'm greatfull we don't have them or snakes etc here. Our eels are very tastey so thats a good thing.

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
Straight up. It didn't take the eel long to start grabbing it. We have huge eels we call Taniwha's. Some are bigger than me and over 100yrs old. The wild ducks often have missing legs from eel attacks. I was carefull to keep my toes moving. Eels teeth are set in rows pointing backwards so it doesn't ...

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
So how goes it? Hope all is well and the birds are a plenty!
 Yes. I'm eating well. Bought a new type of shot. I'm loving it. Got 3 ducks with 1 shot just as they were landing. My decoys are working well. I didn't have my retriever with me the other day so I had to cross the swamp myself ...

Re: New Zealand, get those decoys ready
Duck hunting opening day is next week, so I have been working hard, getting ready. I got cammo nets, ammo, clothing etc. The flash motion decoys are too expensive, so I have decided to make my own. Here is the Parry splasher.

Thanks Brandon327. I will make sure to keep you updated on the hunts.
Aweyerman, just let me know when your flight arrives. You can fly to Auckland international airport and then catch a small plane or bus to Kaitaia. I can pick you up from there. Just chip in for petrol, ammunition etc. All good ...
