Re: Gadwall with sompin' in the woodpile?

I think it has to do with age. I kave killed some in the past that had the starts of what your bird has. And Got one 3 years ago with a 3/4" solid black ring all the way around. As for the two toned head, I see that pretty often.

Whatever causes it to happen, it is a great lookin bird.

Re: What's the oldest banded duck anybody's killed?

I know this thread is about oldest banded ducks, but it reminded me of a hunt about 25 years ago. We were either hunting Flag lake or Broad lake, I can't remember. Re: taxidermists/ what does your taxidermist charge?

Hey Drakeshead, I went up to $250 as of August 1, but I will do a bird for any member of msducks for $225. When gas was sky high, all my supplies went there also. When gas came down, my supplies did not... so as with any job, I decided to either make money or quit. By the way, I am trying to have ...

I have to agree with Uncle Judd. Since I made the switch to my Citori, my shooting percentage went from about 50% to around 70%. I shoot browning duck commander extended chokes. Modified in both barrels, and I shoot the top first. I use Kent faststeel 2 3/4" #4's. They work real well for me in my ...

I can't wait for the day that I can start teaching him to duck hunt like my dad did me. This is our first child and I'm ...
