I am looking forward to it again. And I have to say it is good to be back in the Magnolia State. After 25 years the army finally sent me to where i want to be. I can see many drives from Hattiesburg up to the Delta in my future over the next 3 years till I retire!

Willow Oaks had six total people, two adults and 4 teenage kids in HS. Believe it or not the boys can actually shoot and they killed their limits of ducks. I think we taught the boys to shoot to well.

Drakeshead i am located right outside of Saddams Hometown, it aint much, but it is home for the next 8 months. Which is a good thing because we have been nomads for the past 4 months which sucked.

It really is too bad how far Mahanna has fallen in the past few years, but i guess that is what happens when it origionally got all the attention it did after opening. I can remember many many beautiful sunrises there, even before it became Mahanna when i was a member of Dry Bayou Hunting Club ...

My CSM (Command SGT Major) on my first vacation to Iraq and i were both big Duck Hunters. We were dying because se could see ducks flying and we couldnt do anything but look. Son killed a good one

My son and i went last sat morning, didnt here many gobbling but got one to work in after we got between him and a bunch of hens. My son killed him with one shot. First turkey ever for the young boy. 9 3.8 inch beard and nice spurs.

Deer Hunting

Since there dont seem to be many ducks in the south delta i did a little deer hunting this week. Had a little sucess as the rut had them big horned deer going crazy. Killed a big 8pt and a slightly smaller 7pt this week just north of Port Gibson. I will try and get some pics on here in the next day ...
