Clearing of Cypress Brake

I have a farm south of Tchula with a large Cypress Brake on it. There are several large holes that have grown up with weeds and buckbrush from the water level being lowered about 10 years ago to get timber out of the parts that we do not own. I have since risen the level of the culverts and restored ...

Re: Ducks

It is absolutley rediculous that someone cannot ask a simple question as to duck numbers in an area without being harrassed. Many of us hunt and own private land. I live 3.5 hours from my farm and would find migaration information helpful before skipping work and jumping in the truck. I understand ...

Rain around Tchula?

How much rain was there around Tchula last night? Specifically closer to Bee Lake. Wonder if I should start pumping?

Planting over Harvested cotton

Is there anything that could be planted in a harvested cotton field in September that could be ready for mid duck season? The land that we had in corn last year is in cotton this year. I would not need it for early duck season because we have no ducks early anyway.

Bad Boy Buggies

Does anyone have any experience with the new XT 4 wheel drive model? I have a Polaris Ranger and am curious if the Bad Boy can handle the Delta mud. Also, can it go through water? I would like one for deer hunting but want to make sure it will do the job before I drop 12Gs.

Thanks for your help.

Need to buy pit blinds

I am looking to buy 2 pit blinds to sink in cotton filelds. Fiberglass barrell blinds would be preferable. I do not want them too big. Is there anywhere between Jackson & Greenwood that sells this type of thing? Help would be appreciated.

We have cotton land south of Tchula. There can be lots of ducks late in the year but there are not many now. It needs to be cold and wet.

Cost of having a well drilled

What is a rough estimate of what it cost to have a well drilled and an average diesel water pump put on? Large enough to flood land but not for irrigation purposes.
