Very well said...some may call it soft but i call it respect for your quarry. Its also about maturation as a man/hunter. I like to fill a limit as much as the next guy but "gratitude" sometimes wins out...this year I would just like to pull the trigger

shooting hens ?
It is about time we got some good debate around here!
Heres my $.02: To each his own...what I mean by this is simple, we all have our own perspectives of what a "trophy" is for some killing a doe is a trophy(new hunter, playing chess with same deer for years, etc). I personlly dont shoot does and I ...

FANT FOR HEISMAN!!!!!!!!!!
It was really nice to see State show their discipline and class during the game...after all they ONLY had 4 Unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for late hits, taunting and generally acting like the reprobates they are.

DU v. Delta
DU has evolved into a PC lobbying machine. IN my grandaddys day it was what Delta is today. But now caters to the elite....it has a multimillion dollar office complex in Memphis that will make your head spin. Its all about politics, Benilli giveaways, Hooters girls at frat party-like meetings and ...

Very well thought out and said.
Your right...i think we are debating the same point with different terminologies. That sounds like an awesome book that you have and it definitely shows you have put some time into researching this.

GC, Delta Duck, skeet shooters, I need some help!
Anatidae...Continued
Sorry, lost my train of thought for a second.
This Practice and repitition I mentioned earlier leads to "muscle memory"...in your examples golf swing and free throw. So to me this is not necessary a "vision" problem but a muscle memory problem. I don't think a missed free throw ...

I concur with the importance of vision...but disagree with percentage of emphasis you are giving it. Other senses that you did not mention are these : Proprioception...this is your bodys position in space and Kinesthesia...this is movement through space. These two are, in my view, equally ...

GC, Delta Duck, skeet shooters, I need some help!
This minutia and overanalization is killing me...Obviously Anat. et al have vast experience at the shooting sports, but for a duck hunter "too much analysis leads to paralysis". Pick the damn gun up and shoot... let your instincts take over. If you can't hit a big ol greenhead 30 yds away cupped in ...

Knight & Hales show - late season calling
Not sure I completely buy in to this "late season" stuff even though heard this my whole life...By the time these ducks get to MS they have been shot at from Canada to Illinois, Arkansas and about 15 other states..so I think they are weary, blind shy, call shy BEFORE THEY GET HERE! But after they ...

Early bird restrictions on WMA's!!!
What are the three?
Can't say that I agree with this at all. I see nothing wrong with getting there early and "shining people off" with your flashlight...believe this new system will greatly increase danger...both from boats and 4 wheelers as well as from tempers.
