If you are building a new home just go ahead and use ICF construction for the ext walls and be done with it. 200mph wind proof walls with built in insulation. If you are going to be there for a while you might as well do it right. Jt

Re: one-man blind
a friend and his dad have a couple of the "kick" chairs. the top is controlled by your feet on a t-bar and you are sitting in what looked like a tailgate/camp lounge chair. he said that they tried it without putting the top up in the beginning, but ducks flared. once they used them like they were ...

one-man blind
I need a couple of one-man blinds to hunt a few spots that are on the property we lease. I like the looks of the put hut duck blinds. Something light and semi easy to move from spot to spot is ideal. I thought I could save some money and see if anybody has an idea or has ever build something similar ...

fire pit or fireplace
We are thinking about building a fire pit or fireplace in the backyard. I like the idea that more people could enjoy the heat of a fire pit, but I like the look of the fireplace better. Any thoughts on what you prefer? Any drawings, pictures, or ideas would be great.

small boat options
I want to get a small boat for me and the dog. I’ve been looking at the Otter Stealth 2000. I’ve read some reviews and most are positive. Are there any other good options for us? Not sure if it would matter but I’m 6’5 240 and dog weighs 85ish.

The house was finished last fall. You cannot tell from the outside or inside that it's any different. The walls are several inches thicker than a traditional built home. The thickness is noticeable at the windows and doors.
So what does it look like around the doors/windows? Wonder what you do if ...

I attached a few pics of our house as it was being built. All the outside walls from top to bottom are what you see. You can google eco blocks and read a little more if you wish. This makes your whole home much safer and your electric bills much lower.

My brother-in-law went to the vet today and she told him that the medicine (advantage multi) COULD NOT kill adult heart worms. Of course they do not sell it and I don't think they've ever heard of it. Any thoughts besides get a new vet
