Sense Mottled ducks stay pretty much around the coastal marsh year -round I think it is more likely the duck would of bred with a Black Duck.....making it a Mallard/Black Duck hybrid.

Judging by the bill and the mottling, I would thing its a Mallard/Black duck hybrid.

I don't konw what conditions you are gonna use it in but where I use mine you need a little power for more things than just speed. Wait till you get into some low water or heavy vegetation.....

Duck population VS weather???

I don't want to start a big MSDucks controversy here but was just interested in some thoughts from the more verteran duck hunters on this forum.

In looking back on my 25 years of duck hunting, mostly in southeast LA, and in talking with my Dad who has duck hunted since his youth and is now 67 ...

Any late-season DOVE hunters around?

Well, we lost all our water in the marsh down south with the westerly winds so the duck huntin has been at a stand-still for us. However, the dove hunting has been out of sight. Anybody take part in this late-season dove action....lots of big fat yankee birds down in SW MS right now.

TRY THE RINGNECK DUCK. They make fine tablefare. They are generally (depending on conditions) seed eaters. A lot of people complain about eating certain ducks when MOST haven't even given them a chance....don't just judge them by the toughnest of their skin. Skin them if that bothers you.

BTW ...

Honda Rancher trouble....

My Rancher seems to have a tuff time warming up. I choke the bike and it starts up with no problem...push in (lower) the choke about half way for 10 or 15 seconds and then push the choke off. After that, the bike eventually kills. Even if I get into first gear and take off real fast (not giving it ...
