Re: Kids boots

Same experience with the bogs and my 5 year old. Though the fabric came aloose quick, they have held up well and made it to hand-me-down land and his little brother. Along with a good pair of wool socks, they do a great job of keeping feet warm/dry. I suspect the kids muck boots, if yours is big ...

MDWFP funding

A recent Clarion Ledger article described the Legislature's balking at authorizing the Mississippi Dept. of Wildlife, Fisheries and Park's funding requests. MDWFP is funded by a separate fund that takes in money from license sales, fees and fines for wildlife violations. These funds cannot be used ...

I became a believer this morning. After we brought down a mallard this morning with about 4 shots using steel, the other bird flew off and circled back around gaining altitude. When he passed over the hole, the hevi-shot shooter nailed him -- stone dead -- at about 60 yards. We just thought the boy ...

Needed: Camo briefcase for all these licenses

Progress is not always a good thing. I was fortunate enough to get a lifetime license as a graduation gift in high school. It was great because you could stick your 2 stamps on the back and easily carry it in your wallet without having to worry about buying a license every year. With all the new ...

Jug fishing tip solicitation.

I grew up near the big river and used to jug fish there. I now live east of there. The tallahatchie and yalabousha and yazoo don't really look like they would fish the same since they are so much narrower and don't really have sandbars or dykes. Does anyone here jugfish on any of those rivers or ...
