Re: Pistol set Up ....need advice
A S&W 629 is a great 44 mag., combined with a 2x Leupold makes a deadly combination. Practice is the key to success. My suggestion would be to also buy a .22 pistol with a pistol scope and shoot a couple thousand rounds at anything you can find.

Re: Deer Camps, Making Grown Men Idiots for Years
Again proving these douche bags (club presidents) are incapable of running a simple deer camp, common sense decisions become hard for them to make. Making the right (correct and moral) decision becomes impossible for them to make, instead they base decisions on who is the biggest #ss Kisser or who ...

Deer Camps, Making Grown Men Idiots for Years
As we all watch "The Change", I am constantly hearing men step up and tell me how they would reform America and fix the economy in several simple steps. As I step back and look at the people offering these clues to the universe, I noticed they are all members of deer camps. Over the course of the ...

Re: Birdsong T-coat
I have several guns Teflon coated by Birdsong. The only thing you will have to remember is that any point that strikes metal to metal in any operating mechanism, the teflon will wear off. But to put it in a nutshell. A stainless gun exposed to moisture will rust, the Birdsong coated product will not.

Re: heart broken
Go back in a few days, look for the buzzards, and get your son's horns. It may not hit the skinning rack but it will make his day for sure. Hate to hear that happen for both son/deer. Just part of the hunting experience. Good luck in the future.

Re: Deer cleaning/eating question
I have seen deer cleaned in all the described manors with success with all except(tried the tailgate method but did not have the quality finished product of one from a skinning rack). I personally use the same technique as the thread author. By hanging the deer and bonning it out, the finished ...

Re: Scope
1. Go to Van's around 3:30 pm, look at all the scopes select your three personal choices as seen in the store by 4:30.
2. 5-5:30 look through them in the lot and determine which picks up the best light at dark.
Remember high power is great when light is not an issue, but most of the deer I kill ...

Re: Answer this honestly............
I honsetly have never heard the "buck roar" or the estrus call of the "can" while I was hunting. I am somewhat concerned if is an actual action of a whitetail.
Hear is the dilema, I have never seen deer, squirrels, duck, or any other animal (with the exception of a couple box turtles) getting ...

Re: Millenium Stand Question
Thanks for the responses, it sounds like the folks at Millenium need to add two items to there components that are included with Millenium Loc-On.
1. a ratchet strap to connect around the bottom of the stand (idea from posts)
2. a blank living will form to be completed by the purchaser (my idea)

Millenium Stand Question
I have purchased the Millenium Stand with 4 ladders and 3 additional receivers. I have always hunted from climbers (Ol' Man, Summit, and API) all with success and confidence. I hear people raving on the new Millenium. I can see how the Millenium has appeal with the multi mount system, but here are ...

Re: First night at camp
I too lost a parent at near the same time, I understand exactly what your feelings are. There is a smell and feel in the air each year as hunting season begins. For the biggest portion of my life it was spent with anticipation of the opening day so I could preform similar to Lab pupp, going out and ...
