I have my DSLR in a small pelican case and can go on the fishing boat, duck blind, or anywhere.
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

I take mine every where too. I got enough insurance to cover it if something happens.

I don't bring my DSLR. I used to just get a cheap waterproof film camera. I mostly just use my cell phone nowadays. If it's a first timer offshore trip I bring my little video recorder and cards to not use up so much space on the phone.

Only advice I have is you're not nearly as strong as you think you are. Towards the end of the trip, probably after a fish or two, you won't mind handing off to someone else. Those fish out there are STOUT! And second the advice about not getting skint the night before. One of our crew did and he had to fight nausea all the next day. He still had a good time but suffered through most of it to do so. Our crew had those bandanna things around their necks and wore them most of the day up over their face. Might be worth buying one if they are cheap.

Oh yeah, one time in the marsh when wearing the speckled trout out, some little muscled up coon-axe showed me this little trick. Get a bottle of this stuff, take a towel and throw it in the ice water in the bottom of the drink cooler, pour a little florida water on the towel and bath off. That late afternoon grungy feeling will wipe right off.

Start drinking as you head out the harbor!! You cant say you drank all day if you dont start at daylight!! Just kidding!! A lot of sound advice given thus far!! Bring a couple changes of clothes, extra towels, no bananas!!, re-apply sunscreen often, and wear some boat shoes (non marking) Anyway, have fun, and soak it all in!!

We always started drinking beer bout 6 that morning and ate just a little something bout every hr.. we would go the nite before to subway and buy a couple of footlong sandwiches for each person. and eat just a little thru the day. I am going myself in july, cant wait. Been a few yrs since i have been. The patch behind the ear helps as well. Wear the sunscreen, and I would always wear a wide brim hat, not a ball cap. Helps alot, agree on the crocs no nice tennis shoes for sure.. Hope you have a blast!!! I know I will..
