Bird 1: Saw three birds strutting in a field together, made a move on them, and called them the last 60 or so yards. Sneaker dropped this one at around 40 yards at 9:30. 8 1/2" beard and 7/8" spurs.
Bird 2: Found him feeding alone in a field. Set up and called him up the hill. Came in spitting and drumming. Shot and killed him at 19 steps at 10:45. He sported a 9" beard and 7/8" spurs.

Bird 3: Found him and a buddy strutting with a pair of hens Friday afternoon in a field. Was able to get across the field from them and call him over the hill for the kill at around 4:15 pm. Bradrussell5 was along for this one and happened to catch it on video. Bird had an 8 1/2" beard and 1 1/4" spurs.
Saturday morning I was along on a hunt with bradrussell5 and a guy who had never killed before when Brad called 3 up and he missed, but that's another story.

Bird 4: Took another buddy hunting yesterday (Tuesday) morning, and we able to call yet another bird into range. We were set up within 100 yards of a bird that was henned up when this young man started wearing it out! We ran to the bird and set up laying in some sage at the opposite end of a 400 yard rifle range from him. 20 minutes later he comes strolling down the lane and gets shot at 30 yards at 7 am. Another 2 year old with an 8 1/2" beard and 3/4" spurs, but a gobbling turkey nun the less!
Happy Hunting, and Good luck (especially to you widowmaker)
