Reloaders-Callin' anyone who reloads

Postby Bustin' Ducks » Mon Jan 11, 2010 8:18 pm

Dad is wanting to load some steel in 7/8 oz-1 oz 20ga. I sent him 2 3/4" hulls, BPI CSD 20 wads and a steel shotbar for BB-#2...He will be using W209 primers, IMR SR4756 and Herco powders..I am stationed in Washington and all my reloading books are in Meridian..Anybody got any quick recipes I sent send to him...

All my books are metallic cartridge data only.

Try the powder manufacturers for load data. I had a load I could not find data for and the company
sent me a ton of information for that particular caliber, shotguns shouldnt be much different.

Sorry couldnt help more.

98% of all steel recipes call for Alliant Steel Powder. I have seen none using Herco powders.

The only recipe in the status of steel magazine for Herco powder is a fiochi hull and primer. It has a CSD20 wad and 17 gr powder and 3/4 of shot.

lymans only lists data for 3" 20ga steel. the only three for your wads are:

15/16oz, 20gr 800x powder
15/16oz, 22gr Blue dot
15/16oz, 17gr Steel
