I have and RC lift on my 79 CJ. I know it is not the same but I like mine. I was told they call it rough country for a reason but for the price I had to try em.

Rough country lifts are known for being decent, but their name says it all. Very rough ride. But if you don't mind, and the Procomp is too much for you, then go for it.

Had a RC 6" on my old Bronco. Rode like crap, but I imagine that had as much to do with the 38" GroungHawgs as it did with the lift.

Not trying to hijack......but, How do you know if you need a suspension lift or a body lift? Is one a smoother ride than the other? Is there a certain height where it has to be a suspension lift?

always do a suspension left... I dont like the look of a body lift. Especially on full size trucks.

body lifts only go from 1-3" normally and actually picks the body up off the frame. allows the suspension and ride to remain factory. Like stated, they don't look good imo on full size trucks. a suspension lift adds new suspension parts and blocks for lift and you can honestly go as high as you would like. use to have a buddy with a 2000 something year model I believe f250 on 44's with around 14" of lift. talking about turning heads, that truck was a blast to take out. hydraulic assist steering made it where you could drive it with one finger and the truck would light the tires up if you wanted to lay a little rubber on the ground. good times in high school

I've got a 6" pro comp on my dodge 1500 and I am pretty rough on this truck and believe it or not I think it actually rides smoother now than it did before I put the lift on. Just remember when it comes to lifts even though you might be wanting to stay cheap, you get what you pay for
