should be some by mom and dad's house and across from the gas plant further down the road. he and his son went all in on equipment, and think he said they swapped to majority of land over to peanuts (1000ac or so)

Like LD says... machine digs up then they have to dry ( several days) then you combine them up....i hunted for 8 years in south ga over peanuts.. there is a window they stay on top of ground that deer can eat....then after that of coarse harvest machinery will leave some....you will know pretty quick if you have hogs or not .....everything eats a peanut....deer ,crows , hogs, squirrels...etc.....i am not sure when they mature here in the Delta though but if you bow hunt? i would not be hanging off a persimmon tree with peanuts drying

digger and combine can be purchased for about 155k. That will work about 400-500 acres. Plant being erected in Clarksdale as we speak. It is suppose to be complete by sept. 1. Harvesting time is very close to cotton picking season. Paying $750/ton. As swamprooter mentioned, everything eats them and hogs in a peanut field mean absolute disaster.

the guys giving the seminars on them prior to planting season said that even after the harvest that the "food plot for deer" would be phenomenal.

Lots of folks jumped in with some big promises. Many that used to grow them did not. Time will tell.
