Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin.

Those who can do. Those who can't get on MSDUCKS and try to convince everyone they can.

I do know BearTail use to hunt on some public land up around Arkabutler. I don't know of any guides that take hunters on public land in Tunica.

I'm thinking about hiring Greenhead22 and booking extra hunts and hunt on Malmaison, Matthews Brake, and Down at Delta National. Could some of yall that hunt these public lands give me GPS coordinates to some of the better spots,

GC can I borrow your ROBO duck.

Guides/ Outfitters : No person or group of persons may act as
a guide, outfitter or in any other capacity on any Wildlife
Management Area for which they are paid or promised to be
paid by any other individual or individuals for services
rendered to any other person or persons using said Wildlife
Management Area, nor is commercial dog training allowed
on any Wildlife Management Area.

The above is how the public notice reads on MDWFP's WMAs.

It should be illegal on ALL public ground and the fine should be set at 5.000 dollars.

SB,

Does that mean that someone that trains dogs to sell to the public, example Super Duper Duck Dogs Kennel can not hunt on public land with a dog that they are training for someone else?

Is all public land classified as WMA?

I knew that there was something out there. The Casinos are often accused of it down here, but I can't imagine someone PAYING to hunt the public marsh down here instead of a lease.

Delta Duck,

I would say your scenario would be illegal in the strictest interpretation of that law. I would need to seek guidance from the MDWFP's counsel before I write you up though :D . In the mean time, see if you can hire Gulf Coast to represent you. We'll have court on March 15 at the MSDucks get together with the honorable Judge JB presiding. A jury will be chosen from your duck hunting peers 8) . If you are found guilty, you will be hung from the tallest tree until you are Dead, Dead , Dead :!: If you decide to make a plea, you will only be smacked by a boat paddle.

Just because a property is public land does not mean it is a WMA. The MDWFP's public property is a WMA. The Corps has a piece of property they call a WMA. This causes much confusion with the hunters, since they look as a WMA being managed by the MDWFP. I wish we (MDWFP) could register or copyright the WMA name

I do understand about the Corp land not being in the MWFP. That would make alot of sense. They have their on park rangers.

I think GC charges more than $1.50 and hour, That is about all I can afford.

Can I still get the GPS coordinates?

I find it hard to believe that anybody from the Casinos in Tunica would go as far as HWY 8 to hunt. It will take at least 2 hours to get down there.

Tippo casino only takes food stamps for food also.

I think that GC is refering to the casinos on the GC.
