LSU v Ole Miss Prediction Thread

Postby Deltamud77 » Sun Oct 13, 2013 6:25 pm

Well, it is that time of year again. The rivalry, that is not the rivalry, that is a rivalry. This game is always close (except the last time LSU was in Oxford and was kneeling on the Ole Miss 1 yard line with 5 minutes to play so as not to run the score up anymore :D ).

I think this game, despite the tough loss and injuries to Ole Miss, will be close as well. I do think that LSU probably has too much offense for Ole Miss to stop with the injuries they are dealing with right now. Moreover, I think Ole Miss will score but that LSUs defense has improved enough to keep them from winning.

It will be a very close game until the end with LSU doing enough to steal a game on the road from an opponent that always plays it close.

LSU 37-31.

It won't be that close, LSU will study what Alabama and Auburn did to slow down the Rebel offense, and its offense will be too much for the Rebel D. Not only that but the emotional loss they suffered to A&M along with the injuries to key personnel will probably have them down a little I think. LSU wins, 38-24.

Rebs upset the Tigers.

I'll be cooking seafood gumbo for the pre-game festivities. We are undefeated when I make this gumbo. It's some powerful mojo. On top of that, I will be wearing my lucky visor --- also undefeated. After SEMO and Texas, I saved it for the LSU game. And I've got a gypsy woman giving me advice. I'm stacking the deck.

Yes, LSU is favored. Yes, LSU has more talent. Yes, the Rebs are a banged up and battered team. But..... it's LSU .... a team that the Rebels traditionally play well against.... and this time, we have no lame duck coach who has lost the team ( the situation the last two times LSU blew out Ole Miss). The Rebs will be up for this game. The fans will be ready. There will be an extra pep in the step of every Rebel this week. Make no mistake --- bruised and battered or not, these Rebs, led by a gritty QB, will fight hard, never quit, and play LSU meaner than a 3 legged dog. If LSU brings anything less than their "A" game, the Rebs will beat the corndogs out of them.

The Rebs are due some good fortune.

There will be a full moon Saturday night in Oxford. Strange things have happened in this series on such nights.

The good Lord willing, I plan to be there to witness this annual spectacle.

So, who's not ready?

Give em hell Rebels. Hotty Toddy.

LSU will score early and often. Mississippi will score a bunch too, but it won't be enough. Should be a fun game though.

yes, add mike hilton, sedarious bryant, Temario Strong, Chief Brown, Issac Gross to that list as well.

also not 100% but think you can count out cj johnson.

this game has the potential to get ugly. we have no depth at all past a starter now on D.

Carnies-31 RebelBearLandSharks-13

If the Bama D can pitch a shutout on Brother Freeze LSU should come close to it. Injuries spread OM too thin to win.

The injury situation is soooooo bad that ....... me and Swamprooter are coming out of retirement. We still have some eligibility left and our team needs us.

Swamprooter will play LB, and I will be at the "thug" position --- a roving deliverer of mayhem. My sole mission will be to take out LSU's thug, Jeremy Hill --- ain't nobody a badarse with his nutsack inverted up his rectum after a shot to the cods with brass knuckles. He'll be tiptoeing through the tulips the rest of the game, after my ejection for "targeting", of course. Pay close attention to the video review --- it should be a doozy. Once this brigand is taken out, the playing field will be a bit more level. Meanwhile, Swamprooter will be zeroed in like a heat seeking missile on Mettecheeseburger, harassing him at every step, taunting him in the King's English, confusing him with the smell of corndogs, distracting him with naked pics of his girlfriend, impersonating The Hat --- counterinsurgency at its finest --- until he is thrown out of the game. This should give the Rebels just the edge we need to tame the Tigahs.

Hey, it could work. It's gotta be better than the real plan.

Ole miss was lucky and avoided major injuries last year and did not show their lack of depth. The injuries have caught up with them this year as has the lack of depth. Any team would struggle with that many people out even the ones with good depth, look at UGA.
