Pumped up about next week

I'm starting to get excited about next week. We have 5 veterans and 2 of their teenage sons coming in to hunt December 16-20th in Arkansas then Dec 22-24 in Louisiana.

We're going to be joined by 1 Airman that just returned home (board member here), 1 MS national guard veteran that is a Purple Heart recipient, 3 active duty soldiers from Ft Campbell , 2 of which have been awarded Purple Hearts, and 2 of their teenage sons.

We'll head up to Stuttgart to hunt Monday and Tuesday with Mr Scott Kerr at Cypress Crossing, after Mondays hunt Mr Butch is going to give the guys the tour at RNT and talk duck calling with them. After we break camp Tuesday we 'll head up to the Refuge shop where Robb and Adam have a few surprises for the guys.

From there 2 of the Campbell soldiers and the Airman will return home, we'll hunt on a friends lease the next morning then be joined by 2 medically retired soldiers for a 2 day hunt near Wheatley Arkansas. When the hunt is over on Friday we'll head down to Mer Rouge La with a new crew of 5 veterans including 2 injured marines for 3 days with Mr Curt Parker at Delta Ridge.

This should be an outstanding week and I'm looking forward to spending the week and sharing the blind with some of our Nation's Finest.

I know these veterans will enjoy spending time with their friends and family! There is nothing better than getting out in the water and getting your mind off everything. I am currently on my fifth deployment in the Middle East with the Air Force. I stay in constant contact with my hunting buddy to see how the season is going. I just want to thank these veterans for the sacrafice that they have made being away from their families and there service to their country!!!!!

Pat, when you get home look me up. We'll get you lined up on a hunt as a way to say "Thank you for your sacrifice".

I've spent 38 months in Iraq and Afghanistan so I know how bad it sucks being away from home, especially this time of year.

Thank you for your service to this great nation and for taking all of these heroes out to enjoy God's creation. Gotta keep an eye on that airman though; he'll shoot every bootlip within a country mile if you don't watch him!
