pintail

Postby 4DUKHTN » Sun Jan 09, 2005 5:54 pm

Kwackwacker has finally done it. He has been duck hunting with me everytime I went for the past 3 years. All he has talked about in those 3 years is killing a pintail. Today his dream came true. He hasn't killed the most ducks, but you haven't seen a prouder guy than him this morning after those pintail came into the decoys and we both killed 1.

Speaking of Pintail, have y'all noticed that they have made themselves scarce now that the season is open on them. Saw plenty of them just about every time I went out field hunting, including last Saturday and Sunday. Got one, my first duck each of those days. Now, they seem to have disappeared???

Coincidence??

We usually get them late in the season, and this year we had them early. They have thinned out the last few days, and we've gotten more ducks? Congrats on the sprig!

Tons of pintail in Walnut Ridge

I just hunted with Charles "Hammertime" Snapp and the rice fields were covered with Pintail. Of course the season wasn't open. Shot a bunch of ducks though.
