Need Camera Advice
Re: Need Camera Advice
Almost every model now is going to have video. Also anything these days will have plenty of MP. Unless you want to throw out over 2k just buy a cheap rebel series and be done with it.

Pulled the trigger today and bought a T3i, here's the link to the kit I decided to get. I have a few weeks to mess with it before we head to Oxford, MS for a few soccer matches, wish me luck... I'm also really hoping that I don't wish I had the 60d in a few weeks.

I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

I have had a blast taking pictures at soccer games and such, wish I had started years ago!

I am very new to photography. I am disabled now and need something to keep my mind sharp. I too am on a budget, never thought I would be 50m years old and disabled. I found a canon 300d with everything it came with when new plus a 200 telephoto lense. Dude wants $200 for it. It looks like it is in top notch condition. I am wanting to do some wildlife /landscape photography. will this be a good place to start? I don't want to get it and not be able to get accessories for it later. Or, does anyone on here have something they would part with? I will be trying to find a photography class and doing some lessons online. Thanks for yalls time am looking foreward to hearing from yall. ><> del

Here's one on eBay to watch and see where the price ends up. I'll let those more qualified than I speak for the actual camera and it's pros and cons.

The 300 is kind of older. But the 200mm lens may be worth that $200 depending on what F-stop it is.somedude wrote:I am very new to photography. None the less, it will take a picture, and you can upgrade the body later if you want. As long as the lens is a "snap in" kind and not screw in, they will transfer to another newer camera.
Here are some things to start with.
Great for learning the basic terminology and gets into the more advanced - http://www.ducksouth.com/phpbb/viewtopi ... 37&t=75173
