look if you think someone is a moron you need to keep it to yourself because i do know the club and most of the people in it . i am from from jealous but i guess you think it is smart to spend 100000 plus to go kill some ducks but you probaly buy "BEARDED CLAM" too . i think you need to stick to knowing about the res and going to the dock because grown folks are talking about stuff you have no clue about . if you do hunt down here and think i am a moron then i will be more than happy to take you on a hunt with me so we can get it out in the open on who is a moron. i forgot more about killing ducks then you will ever know city boy fag!!!

Outlaw, simmer down. What's up with the "city fag boy" language? I, for one, am from the city and can guarantee you that I am not a "city fag boy"! Please, don't "blanket" people from the city as being city fags. Until next time!

I kinda go along with gator "everybodys a duck hunter" Its just like where Im from, back fifthteen years ago deer hunting got so big around here, all
the locals started looking for something else to do. By that I mean we all had good places to go then the money came in and pushed us all out. So those of us who hunted started getting serious about duck hunting because nobody else really did. Now all the land around here is leased up for deer hunting and at way to much money. If you dont have family land its hard to find even a poor place to hunt let alone a good place and the common person cant afford the better places or clubs.Fifthteen years ago I had about 12000 acreas to hunt now I got about 600 and that is family land and its just ok I dont even deer hunt it myself I save what we do have for my children cause thats what it is all about now. So with that said what I see now is the same thing happening to duck hunting in the areas where it is big. Just my 2 cents......drake99 and by the way it aint nuttin like the duck hunting when it comes down to it.Amen
Daddy.....are we there yet?

I've found that there are two types of hunters, those that Get It and find satisfation on finding a spot, seting up, calling and shooting a few birds in a fare chase setting and then there are the killers who sit over baited fields, rice or beans and simply shoot ducks. I have done both and get no satisfaction whatsoever in sitting in a rice field killing a limit. I feel sorry for those who feel that killing is hunting.

it just makes me mad that i can remember hunting 20 plus years ago when people thought we were crazy to go out in 10 degree weather to kill ducks and we did it because we loved the sport not that we had alot of money and could buy someones great place and take it over like they accomplished something. i got money to lease and have alot of places. i even got people that call me to lease stuff for them just for me to be in with them to take them because it is proven i kill ducks every season. that is my point and i see all these city boys buying up duckholes for tons of money and dont know the 1st thing except such and such killed ducks on it every year so we will pay 50000 a year to get it from thewm and then they dont kill nuttin and wonder how and why and i laugh my ass off because they are not hunters they are want to bes!!!!!

outlaw:
your statement implies ONLY that city boys buy up all the land for large amounts of money. So my question is this: do country boys not also buy up land for large amounts of money? I know many county boys that do!

i dont know many country boys that will go to your land owner and try to weasel you out of your place and come in and overbid on some land from hear say to try to get in to hunt. half of the ones around here that do that wind up with the boards pulled out of their pipes and no water for trying to be slick but we just get even down here and drain your holes if possible. got 5 places with in 3 miles of most of my hunting ground that are flooded end to end with a big ass skid blind in it from opening weekend since they could not kill the ducks that were there and gave up to screw up my duck hunting by just holding the water and birds to look at but not here they wont!!! that is what i am getting at. i got guys i take on guided hunts that have called my land owner to try to lease it out from under me because they had a good hunt and that is dirty and low down but it happens here every year!!!!!

Man you ever hear about some of the returns that these guys are making on there investments, I guess that pisses you off too, shoot tax breaks, returns on investments, and killing the fire out of waterfowl. damm them city boys must know something...I hate to tell you, we all enjoy hunting ducks and everyone enjoys shooting their gun, but tooting your horn about how good of a duck hunter you are is just plain silly......I bet you can fight like the best of them too, hehehe, sounds like you jealous to me...with ducks; son, you either got em or you dont, come on down here to the Coast to test your skills, you mighty duck slayer, and you would soon find out what it means to work for ducks...I think the duck population these days is 50 hunters to 11 ducks, and man let me tell you them things are call shy, lmao......this ought to fire you up mighty duck slayer....

i bet none of the guys in fb could build a blind or make it on their own with out someone else doing part of it for them.

That might be one of the dumbest statements I've ever read on this board...You moron, I'm certain some of those dudes have been hunting for 40+ years or more...Just because they don't have to build a blind or set out decoys anymore doesn't mean they don't know how...

You think they had someone doing that chit for them when they were fresh out of school, before they made their $$$? I'm sure there are some new, wannabees in there, but I'd say most are duck hunters...

Your just jealous and that's a bad way to be!!!

Good post Mallardchaser, but there is a high lavel of ignorance involved too. To claim that those guys are not hunters just because they can afford a great place to hunt is absurd. I know a couple of those guys and they could kill ducks anywhere.

The money they invest is not wasted either. When they decide to get out, you can bet that they will be able to sell their share for at least what they paid for it if not more.

Every word this guy writes reminds me how much misery envy and jealousy causes.
