Processing crawfish isn't really all that bad if you are dealing with just a couple hundred pounds. Buy a 55 gallon drum, cut it in half and put rope handles on either side about 4 inches below the top. then just put your crawfish in there, fill up with water, and use your hands to turn them from the bottom to the top. Then just pick out stuff that comes to the surface. We use orange crab hampers to stain the water off and repeat process a couple times. once they are clean of debris, put them back in hamper, and fill your drum with water and dunk them in a couple times, changing your water until water is fairly clean. you can do about 50 lbs at a time like this. pretty simple and then when you ready you can go straight to the pot with them, or if you really trying to be nice, sack them back up and give them to somebody ready boil. we call that grated crawfish, but that's for only close friends

I ain't too crazy about them. I'd rather just run cylinder traps in fluctuating water conditions. They take up more space, but they stack and store pretty well if they are of uniform size.
