I can't blame you because I do the same thing. Of course, I live in the Hinds County portion of the Greater Gangsta Metroplex. And if you lived in my region, like SNOT and jtdumallard, you would profile too.edub20 wrote:... yep... I profile.
Oh, I work there daily and profile as well. So I'm consistent.jacksbuddy wrote:I can't blame you because I do the same thing. Of course, I'm not paranoid or anything. (note head twitching) By the way, what's your angle?

In cwinks case, he was repoeted as suspisious(sp) and open carring allowing the police to question him if they had found him.landscaper wrote:I think you did the right thing, Chad. A responsible gun owner who wants to open carry should fully expect to be questioned about his intentions, even by the police, and should be prepared to fully and gladly comply and explain himself without feeling that he has been harassed. Quality post right here!Po Monkey Lounger wrote:Here's the story on this guy and the incident. He is my second cousin, first removed, and my client. The coyotes have recently killed and eaten all of his pets, including his prize yorkie named "Sgt Yorkie", and terrorized his small children. So, he was understandably angry and on a mission to kill some yotes, for self-defense, revenge, and the general good of the neighborhood and all of mankind. The rifle was for long range sniping and the shotgun for close in killin' and finishing. He was shirtless only because the first coyote he killed managed to strike first, ambushing him and ripping and tearing his shirt off of his back during a wild, dangerous tussle before he could ice the rabid beast with the scattergun. While he did have some of the neighbors' permission to go upon their land , he momentarily lost track of where he was due to being in hot pursuit of the remaining yotes in the pack, and accidentally strayed, while in the heat of passion, onto the other neighbor's property. With the effects of rabies rapidly overcoming him, he completely forgot about the fascist, unconstitutional local ordinance against firearm discharges in the city; plus, as I think I said before, but it bears repeating, he was in the heat of passion and in hot pursuit. He said he could have cleaned out the entire bloodthirsty pack had it not been for some ungrateful, local Barney Fife calling the police on him. From his perspective, the blood of the next coyote victim in the neighborhood is on Barney's hands.
That is his story, and under the advice of counsel, he is sticking to it.
Agreed, I'm ok with open carry, I don't necessarily agree with long gun open carry, because it looks more suspicious and is ALOT harder to obey rule 1 of gun safety than handgun open carry. Now if he was walking his french poodle in shorts and a tshirt with an AR on his back then Ok, I get it your exercising your 2nd Amendment.MrGoodtime wrote:In cwinks case, he was repoeted as suspisious(sp) and open carring allowing the police to question him if they had found him.landscaper wrote:I think you did the right thing, Chad. Otherwise just the fact that someone is open carrying does not give the police the right to stop them and question them as to their intentions.
