To come out and say fire stansbury
I'd agree if you're talking about consistently making Omaha or the Elite 8 in the basketball tourney. Making a 64 team tournament is pretty easily done and in no way makes it likely that a team will eventually win the thing. I still say stansbury needed to go. If I were a Bear I'd think long and hard about Bianco.

Stansbury didn't get there often enough to justify that kind of thinking.

I can't see how they could even consider running him off right now. There is so much energy around that program right now it's crazy. If they win the next two, which is very possible, then this whole conversation is muted.

I am not an Ole Miss fan, but running Bianco off would be a blow to the program. Their program the past ten years, while maybe not elite, has been very consistent, probably more consistent than a lot of other teams which are considered elite. And has also boosted attendance and revenue to the point where they are one of the premier places in the NCAA to go play and watch. I realize a lot if this is due to promotions and support from the admin, but you also have to win to get that kind of support.... Unless your the Cubs. Also, everyone talks about how some other guy built that program years ago before Bianco got there, where is this guy?..... Cause he hasn't been at OM in the last ten years. The product on the field right now and in the past in Bianco's product, no one else's. Stop talking about the other guy.

The coach that helped setup Bianco's run with Ole Miss already has his ticket punched to Omaha.

He is making back to back trips to OMAHA (2013,2014) and his third since taking over at UL....

He is quite good, UM prolly should have held on to him.

Hahaha well, I guess that goes to show you how much I know about OM baseball. It must really suck to watch that guy go to the CWS while being within an inch all these years.

My point was though, that McDonnell has not had his hands in the program for quite some time. He got the program headed in the right direction but to say that Bianco has not done anything at OM is not the whole truth either.
