CC permit holder gets killed trying to stop couple on killing spree. We may never know all the details. Seems like he tried to hold the male at gunpoint and got ambushed by the female. It may take a few months for all the details to come out. I haved used a similar scenario in my training classes about and taking cover in this type of even instead of directly confronting the shooter, because in most cases the average CC permit holder will be out gunned. He possibly saved the lives of others in Walmart by sacrificing his own... Prayers go out to the officers and the family of Wilcox

Re: Las Vegas Shooting-CCP Holder killed trying to stop shoo
I consider both cops heroes for serving, and I also consider the civilian a hero for doing what he felt compelled to do. I have actually considered the walmart scenario several times. I wonder what I would do. I usually have my boys with me when I am there, so I think I would flee at the first chance to get them out of harms way. But I also think about what if the bad guy kills some other kids who get trapped in the store and I could have stopped the threat but I chose to flee. It is a lot to consider, and who knows what they'll do when put in that situation. I can go over it in my head a million times and see it play out so many different ways.
Sounds like the woman was just watching the bad guy and the good guy got the drop on the bad guy but had no clue there was a bad girl too. Damn shame.

Agree,
Chances are he got tunnel vision and was focused on the guy and didn't even see the girl. We teach alot to scan for other threats, because in home invasions or burglaries it is often multiple threats. To be honest in this situation, I am not sure I would have remembered to scan.. So many of these mass shootings are just 1 person, I would probably have forgotten to scan.
Each one of these stories is a tragedy, but there are also things we can learn from each one too
