A while back we had a topic regarding this, dealing with the no-knock warrants and police getting all these military "toys" and SWAT Teams on every corner at ever police station and Sheriff's Dept.

Now they are giving them MRAP's. Can someone tell me why in the hell a police station needs a damn MRAP??
If you have ever seen, touched, or riden in an MRAP you know the police don't need these things.....except to maybe accomplish their (Gov.) long term goals.

I've had several arguments with my cousin (who's on the police force in the Atlanta area) about no knock raids and how they are very dangerous
to the officers and to innocent people. Not really sure why any state legislature would allow them to take place in their state, and I sure don't know why they
would allow any civilian police force to have these military vehicles.
