

The bridge and poles are above banks. Meaning the water will have to come out of the banks to affect the backfill. The backfill is more to bring the road to the level of the bridge than support for the poles as the poles were planted in solid ground. I did put tin around the poles on the river side to keep the dirt from washing and devert the water away from the poles. I have never seen the water that high before but some claim they have. I can't tell from the small pictures, but how did you armour your back fill at the bridge ends to ensure the river want erode it away next flood?
