Mr. E

Kris, it is, without a doubt, the best Old School book on Turkey Hunting in Mississippi along the Mississippi River. Great stories written by my hunting partner, Wade S. Wineman Jr., A lot of the stories go back to when the first season opened back up in Mississippi during the 50's when he was a kid. The two best chapters in there are "Turkeys on the Tip" and "He Had a Field Day" --- LOL. Those two turkeys remain the longest bearded bird I every killed, and the heaviest Mississippi bird. Both of those birds I killed with an old orginal Tom Turpin Shor Box (like I make). Talked to Wade yesterday and he is just about out of this first edition. This is one of his remaining signed first editon books. He has not decided whether there will be a second edition as of late.kris Schaumburg wrote:i haven't read east of the slash. I've got one or two stock market books in front of it, but I'm guessing you'd recommend picking up a copy?
