Starting a new chapter: any advice on taking state real exam
Getting burned out with what I'm doing now and want a better life for myself and my family. I've decided to try my hand at real estate on my off days from the oil patch. I've completed my 60hr training and even gotten set up with a good broker to work with. I'm really excited about where God is leading me with this, but I'm not such a great test taker. I'm nervous about being able to pass the state exam. If any of you have experience with this and have any advice please pass it along! Also could use a prayer to Lord to give me guidance with this. Thanks!

I don't know anything about it, but I just wanted to share some encouragement. I hope you do well.

Use your common sense, and rely on what you learned in your training....you'll do just fine.

Sylvan offers classes in licensing test taking. I am horrible at those types of tests, but a former employer wanted us to become brokers at work, which required 2 licenses. They sent a group of us to school for the tests, and it helped me out a lot.
Also, remember this - What do you call the guy who graduated last in his class at medical school? You call him a doctor. Good luck.

Funny reading this post. I've been thinking about going this route myself here lately. If you don't mind me asking, where did you take
your classes? I think there is a place in Oxford that does the classes and is probably where I would go, but want to hear other's experiences
with the course. The broker that has offered to sponsor me says she is begging people to go take the test. She's covered up with work.
And by the way, if He leads you to it, He will lead you through it.

If you want to go this route, you can take all the RE agent courses online....after passing, you then go to Jackson, and take the final exam.

Yeah I did all my classes online.

Don't want to hijack your topic here, but which course did you use? And would you recommend it to someone else?
Remember that worrying about the test isn't your job. 'Worrying' is taking responsibility for something that God never intended for you
to take responsibility for.

Will probably work on getting mine as well, at some point…. It will all fall into place. I would definitely talk with current RE agents/brokers and get "up to par" on test basics, etc and take some practices exams. Then you'll be good to go. Good luck.

Man all of them I've asked keep telling me they really don't remember much about it and "oh you'll do fine on it..." Haha I've been taking practice tests for at least 2 hours a night for past few nights and writing out all the ones I miss and will continue this process till the 11th when I take the exam.
