What a great man. In my opinion, he was the best I have ever heard - going away. He was just a classy, southern gentlemen that called it like it was - not what he wanted it to be or what his bias thought it should be. You could listen to him and know exactly what was going on.

Jack had a great talent. He had a way of painting a picture of what was happening on the field perfectly. Even as a diehard Ole Miss fan, I enjoyed listening to him while we weren't playing and I was traveling. He had a great voice.

He was definately one of the best to ever call a ball game. His dry sense of humor & honesty about the bulldogs performance was outstanding.
