Tax Free Weekend

Postby 420 racin » Mon Sep 08, 2014 3:20 pm

So how many folks went out and bought a gun on the tax free weekend?

I bought a new shotgun, but I was already getting one since someone thought they needed my old shotgun more than me and decided to take it. So I figured why not take advantage and not pay taxes on it.
The problem i encountered is last week I was looking at this certain gun at a certain big sporting goods/processing place in Brandon..It was listed at $1129.99. So Friday I was going to go get it, but to my suprise that same gun had jumped to $1533.33!!!!! What's up with raising the price for the tax free weekend?? I ended up purchasing the gun from Sprtsman Warehouse in Southaven for under $1k....I was just pissed that they would raise the prices that much...I have never and I will never buy anythign from that store after that.

I went Saturday and bought a handgun and ammo. The place I went to was super busy selling a bunch of guns. Got a great deal. I priced them ahead of time and they did not mark it up. Already thinking about what I want to get next year.

I sold 21 guns over the weekend. It was crazy for my little home based shop. I had to take Friday off from my day job.
