Dr. Ben Carson

Postby Long Cut » Wed Feb 18, 2015 8:39 am

I took my wife last night to hear Dr. Carson speak at a fundraising event for Park Gate Pregnancy Center in Tupelo. He was fantastic! He gave his opinion on a wide variety of topics including pro-life, Obama Care, Pro-Family, education, Christianity, poverty/welfare, the media, etc. I knew his story and have watched him on fox news and other places but was not convinced about him. I'm just about sold on him after last night if he decides officially to jump in. My wife, who is not shall we say politically tuned in at all was highly impressed. She said if he runs then he has her vote hands down. It was very obvious last night that aside from the main agenda of fundraising for Park Gate that politics were thick in the auditorium. Gov. Bryant introduced Dr. Carson and several other state and local politicians were announced as being in attendance. I would like to hear what anyone else thought if you were there last night or anyone's opinion on him. I know he's not without flaws but l he sure seems like a breath of fresh air and not scared to say what he thinks.

I have been wanting him to offically run for a very long time. The main reason is because he isn't a politician. I know he will quickly become one, but like you said, he is a breath of fresh air. I hated that Herman Cain didn't run last time, he was my choice then. My next choice this time is Scott Walker. What he has done in Wisconsin is very impressive. Jeb Bush needs to go away and so does Chris Christie. Christie could have won the nomination and beat obama 6years ago, but he chose not to. This country needed someone that could have beat obama and he was our only hope then. He turned his back on America when we needed him most and now we are in a hell of a mess. I pray that we get someone in there that will reverse every one of obama's actions, stop the funding to countries that hate us and stop welfare to American's that don't work. I have a few other things too, but that's a good place to start.

He would never win but I like him a lot. Being a neurosurgeon he is extremely smart but most of those guys are not personable enough to win. He knows what to do but being a smooth talker as Obama is ain't his forte. God help us whoever wins cause we need it.

Media and elitists that run this country won't let him come close. They broadcast fake polls and brainwash most of the population into thinking the good ones won't / can't win. We will end up stuck with Bush or Christie. Mark my words.

So the media would allow a third Bush?

Fox WANTS another Bush term, and the Left media wants another Bush to run against Hillary so they will walk away with it.
I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see Romney pop his head in there again before it's said and done. I think he bowed out
to get a VP offer. The game is rigged. Whether we like it or not.

He did not. My understanding is that amnesty is a chink in his armor but I have not researched that in depth to be sure. I do not see the perfect candidate out there. For sure no Jeb Bush or Chris Christie. Walker, Huckabee or maybe rand paul are also a few that I would listen to if Carson does not get in or make to the Mississippi Primary. I feel like There is a stronger group forming than we had last go round. Even though Carson does not have the name recognition, if he continues to make waves like he did last night then he may get a ground swell built up.

Did he say what his stance is on gun control? I thought he was for it. Could be wrong. Bush, Christie, and any other like them is,well, better than Hillary but then we are back to voting for the lesser of evils. Scott Walker would be great, but the union vote might just kill him, especially in the northern states.

Well, I killed that thread.

After a little research I see where he has changed his stance on the issue and is against gun registration. If that's the case, he has my vote as well.
