Keeping it simple?

Postby Greenhead329 » Tue May 05, 2015 1:50 pm

Guys how often do we get tied up in the promotion / advertising / new fancy gadgets on the market.

I was watching swamp people last night, and one of the old timers on there hand built a pirogue with his grand children and used it to catch a mess of blue crabs. Simple effective and cheap.
I remember some of my best hunts were nothing more than a canoe, dog, pump shotgun and half a dozen decoys…
This year I want to find a small timber hole and enjoy what got me started in the first place.
All I know is... A wise rooster don't bury his head when a chicken hawk is around...he keeps his eyes on his chickens

Dude...Why'd you make the homeless guy pay for supper?

It seems like there is a growing trend of trying to substitute money for skill. Maybe that's just human nature - trying to buy an easier way. I will be the first to say I love my Go-Devil rig, but I really enjoy hunting with pirogue, cork decoys, a wooden call and a retriever.
