Capt. Wes Rozier
he was recommended to me on this sight years ago and I have fished with him several times.

I have a trip booked with him in August. Supposedly one of the best, and possibly THE best independent guide in that area for inshore/beach fishing. He primarily fishes the beaches for reds, jacks, bonito, macks and pompano... I've seen a ton of articles with him being featured as a guide specifically for fly fishing the beaches from the Alabama border down to Destin.
We are also booked with Tom Campbell for fishing the bay one day as well:

We may go with Shallow Water Expeditions as well since they offer nearshore trips where you fly fish the nearby wrecks for AJ's, snapper, and grouper, which sounds extremely interesting. They also do inshore/flats as well, but they mostly guide the flats near Panama City:

I've fished with Capt Rozier and another guy. I've had about 1 out of 4 trips I've gone on where we did a good amount of catching fish. It's still a good time, don't get me wrong, but if you've ever been fishing in the LA marshes and expect the same thing around Mobile Bay, you'll be disappointed most of the time.

That might be all I need to hear. Might save my money and sneak away for another marsh trip.Smoke68 wrote:but if you've ever been fishing in the LA marshes and expect the same thing around Mobile Bay, you'll be disappointed most of the time.
