End of the Red Label

Postby Seymore » Thu Jun 18, 2015 5:27 am

Several here, myself included, or fond of the Ruger Red Label. It was taken off the market a few years ago and a new design came out about 2 or 3 years ago. Ruger couldn't get the maufacturing cost to what they expected so the Red Label is now history.

I was hoping they would reintroduce the 20 gauge red label..

They cancelled production on the 20's, too. They just could not make it for the cost they needed to hit for it to be profitable. I was hoping it would be a big hit for them so folks could "buy American."

I am disappointed as well. I was hoping for the 20 to be introduced this year. I actually started researching it when I saw the red label wasn't listed on their website anymore. Thought maybe a computer glitch but it's not.
