There's been quite a few Mississippi boys fight in the UFC. Wes Shivers (MSU football player) was on the Ultimate Fighter show with Rampage as a coach. Alan Belcher fought several times for the UFC. I believe he trained somewhere down on the coast. Good to see some home town boys do well in the big show.

Belcher owns a very successful gym down there and has used his UFC connections to get these guys to the big show and they have made the most of every opportunity. Jason Knight is on a tear right now, 4-) in the UFC with a 7 fight contract. If he finishes up 7-0 look for him to be at least top 10, maybe top 5
