Looking For A Viszla Breeder

Postby 10_Gauge » Wed Mar 09, 2005 11:42 am

A friend of mine is looking for a Viszla puppy and wanted to know if anyone knows of a Viszla breeder. Preferably somewhere in the state or close by. Thanks. :)

A good friend of mine got one from a breeder in either NC or VA. If that's not too far, I can get the contact info if necessary. Just PM me and let me know.

And FYI for your friend, those are some seriously "@#$%#" hyperactive dogs - my friend's is 4 and he still acts like a lab puppy on speed. Barks at everything under the sun, still eats his wife's shoes and is just generally obnoxious.

Not much help, but there was someone who had some for sale in Oxford about 6 months ago.

Go to Borders or some other book store and try to pick up a copy of Gun Dog Magazine. They have a lot of breeders in the classified section

I'll ask my sis-in-law where she got hers. She now lives in WA st. but bought her dog here in MS I do believe. 8) Cool dog!

Go to the AKC main web site and do a search for approved breeders for that breed. They will provide you with contact numbers and weither the breeders breed for conformation or hunting. VERY IMPOORTANT. There are not to many Of the Visla's in the states so Line breeding is a problem. A result of that is one being very hyperactive. You might also want to look up Hungarian bird dog, that is another name for them.
