either I'm going crazy, or ma' bell done went and pulled the internet down to no-mans-land (aka Louisiana..... Lafayette, to be exact!).

How the heck are ya, Mr Prudhomme? (thinking this could very well be Mrs Connie doing the typing....) You must have a Verizon Blackberry or something, cause I'm pretty sure they dont have phone lines or road signs in Louisiana! hahahahaha!

the Boudin was awesome..... even Jezie-dog thought so! she stole 6 1/2 links that night, while we aired out dogs.

Up-Oh, Becky has us boys fighting over dog colors...........but seriously, one last thing to keep in mind.

Generally speaking you get more for your money when you buy black.

Those colors cost more, just food for thought. When you want the best why not look at titles, ability, and offspring and spend what you can afford. Why look at colors at all? It's not like getting a camo pattern.

The truth be known, I really wanted Jeziie to have that boudin. That baby carried me in the Grand! All kidding aside, most of the time the harder to get colors will cost you a little more mney. It is no different than when we buy anything else of equal value, but we choose a little fashion over just being practical. Unfortunately, mother nature plays a big role in the color generics, and there are only so many other colors. Remember, good breeding is good breeding, and a well bred Lab is a well bred Lab, no matter what the color!

I didn't mean to take up all of your MS space, but I have had to do a lot of thinking over the last couple of years as to why I had only liked blacks for 36 years. Thats how long my dad and I raised black Labs only. I was fortunate enough to realize when I saw the well bred litter that Roux was in, that he was he was the very best pup available (they were all black and that was what I was looking for), and I went against my old inhibitions and thought processes. By the way, my wife had previously picked one of the black pups, and I changed the pick.

Thank all of you for your time and for listening to my ramblings.

Your coonass buddy,

Ronnie

You know, we use to say he was a black lab in chocolate coat. Now we say he is a good lab in a chocolate coat.
