South Mississippi Chapter of Delta Waterfowl....
Just signed the papers Wednesday with Bryan King (Regional Director) to start a new chapter....As far as I know, Delta wasn't and hasn't been down here prior to this, and I'm excited....Any volunteers to join our new committee can contact me at the below number.....we could use all the help we can get...the thing that impressed me most was the fact that a certain percentage could be used for regional interests, such as hen houses for mottle ducks down here on the coast or wood duck boxes on our area rivers....DU was always very clear that they wanted all the money sent to them, and they would dispurse it....when asked specifically where it went, the question was never clearly answered....Jump on board and help us out...

Well, couldnt resist to respond to this one. First of all I am a Delta supporter and a DU chairman. You are right about the funds that Delta recieves. You can use some of the money that you raise for local interest, which is great. As far as the money raised in MS from DU, all you have to do is look at the public fincial statements. I do not know where you got your info from on where DU spends its money in MS.

Weim.....I know the facts on DU.....I chaired for years, co-chaired for years prior to that, and served on the committee for several chapters along the coast....served as a regional chairman also....made the first DU duckhead neon signs....won my first shotgun at a DU event at the age of twelve.....everyone's got opinions, I've got mine, you've got yours....but don't insinuate that I don't know what I'm talking about, I've put in my time and raised tens of thousands of dollars for DU and I know a thing or two about the organization....I'm not knocking 'em, just changing my ways...wanna help? If not, I apologize if I offended you and your organization.....just merely stating facts hoss and I know 'em....

mm Ill be offshore during the get together, but please include me in on the Delta thing, been wanting to get something started over here for awhile just dindnt know if I could get enough participation, seems like starting the chapter in a place like Gulfport, would be better centralized. Seems if we can get committe members form all up and down the coast a good turn out would be easy to accomplish. I remember back when I was a kid my father had a DU group here in Bay St. Louis, we had a lot of fun with it. Anyway let me know when you need some help.
