Yes he has stakes in Miller Point. He also owns land about a mile away from there on the outside of the levee. He saves it for duck hunting. Yes he has lots of mony. He has been pulling this crap for the past several years. He is also one that as soon as he got some mony he started this crap. He has sat on the boat ramp and blocked people from leaving and calling wardens. Ask him have any of these people been prosecuted. He is nothing but a mony and land grubbing lawyer. People are by the way last I heard catching plenty of crappie out there. And I am sure that a bunch of the general public will still be hunting out there this year. I normally dont post a lot, but I do read a lot. He has ticked me off again. Nothing but a pure bred peepee.

The land in question lies entirely within the state of Arkansas
The general public has no rights to hunt and fish upon the lands and waters of Old River
So in effect, the state line as listed on USGS topo maps is indeed accurate and the circuit court of Phillips co. Arkansas has only deemed the Arkansas side of the lake to be owned and posted to all hunting/ fishing by Miller Point Timber Co. The last quote that you posted is somewhat misleading and should read "the general public has no rights to hunt and fish upon the lands and waters of Old River that are located within the state of Arkansas."
I can only deduct that unless otherwise noted, the Mississippi side of the lake is open to the public as it previously has been.

Y'all want I can get my ship over there and suck a little mud! We will have a deep spot for ya in no time. We can even dredge down to 75'. Or 110' with extensions!
Might have to create a channel in as it is land locked now.
Well, have dredge, will travel. Who do we bill the $75,000/a day rental rate to? Lewis and Lewis???

hehehe
Sounds like the arguement coming out of South LA, Mr Lewis doesnt make much since though, cause usually if one owns the particular water thet would not encourage fishing, seems if someone to get hurt out there the owner may be liable, and we all know tort reform hasnt gone far enough in this good ole boy state, talk about poetic justice, lawyers suing lawyers, hehehehe.
maybe I didnt get the whole story but sounds kinda crazy,
another thing some biatch better have a badge if he plans on stopping me at the launch, been there done that one, no badge = no authority, I cant wait to here you'lls stories about how this one pans out, sounds like it's going to get mighty interesting.

Please help me with this one:
A few years ago a fellow told the story of how he and his buddies were leasing a property for hunting. He talked at length about how much work they put into the property including the building of roads, etc. (the fellow is a dozer operator by trade). He spoke of the many years they had hunted the property and all of the man hours they had invested. "Then" he said, "This no good S. O. B. Dr. _____ bought our property." "Got him a turn key deal" he said. He cussed the Doctor more and more saying the sorry _____ _____ could not go out and build his own property so he had to steal theirs.
After he finished I asked him if the property owner had placed the property on the market for sale prior to the Doctor buying it and he said yes; and without the slightest idea of why I asked him this question. I decided asking my follow up question might cause him to stop working on our job so the subject was changed. And so I will ask it herein; why was he mad at the Doctor and not at all mad at the land owner who sold the property out from under him?
For the record I think this Mike Lewis post was inappropriate and must admit it inflamed me after reading it. The info Wingman has provided would lead one to believe Mr. Lewis has hurt his cause and may very well have more hunters than usual which would serve him right since it appears he may have been trying to intimidate folks into not hunting public property. If this is not the case Mr. Lewis might consider going back to school and taking some courses that could help him in the human nature department. I do however need help understanding this mentality that a new property owner should share his hunting rights with others who have no ownership in the property.
