From being in Starkville, and hunting those public land birds for most days during the week, the National Forest double is my favorite. Those dang Starkville area public land birds can be tricky!

Yeah those public land birds can be a pain. I have better luck hunting them in the late morning and afternoon once everybody calls it quits for the day, and MMALLARD I am a forestry major at MSU.

Jestridg, looks like you got plenty of birds to hunt. I'd stick with where you are. The hunting pressure up here is pretty bad and the best thing is there are alot of hunters that don't care your already set up on a bird, they will come right on in on top of you  . That is public land hunting and if you like that type of thing come on. You won't have any trouble finding a little competition.
