depending on the hunt.
If we have to walk through crotch deep mud, then I where them, and some type more comfortable pants.
If we are boating in and then wading to the 'spot' I usually have on thick pants and socks, so I like to tuck my pants in my socks.
Whatever I have to do to keep my pant legs down, and my socks up.

Best pair of those I have was bought at an Academy sporting goods. They are thinner than the "hunting" kind but are WAY better. The strap is about three inches wide, and the velcro just hooks onto the elastic band. I think they are made by one of the "fly fishing" wader companies. At any rate, they hold up much better and are longer and tougher than the ones supporsedly designed for hunters.

Tried 'em, just had to, they don't make booger happy. They just restrict circulation to my feet and then mercifully come undone and get gnarled up with everything else down there. Making matters worse is the "boot fit" style of wader that seems to be the "norm" now. I don't like them either.
boog the grump.

I dont believe i could where those things you got 22. When you take off you waders and gotta walk in the Onward Store for a greasy burger you will get to many funny looks.....you gotta where your ole levis and leave the duck tape still on while you mash your foot covered in 14 pairs of wool socks in your redwings to really fit in round these parts.
