Spent many summers at Boy Scout Camp Talleha. Glad to see someone into history and trivia.

Great info Wingman. Guessin' you're at the Air Races in Tunica this weekend(?). Hey, thought I would let you know that me and my son went to visit ole Sorefeet in N. Alabama last weekend for arrowhead hunting. Had a blast, and yes, found a bunch of 'em.

I don't know Nick Denley, but he apparently has put in a LOT of work to publish this information. I ran across a site a few years ago listing most of the cemetaries around the Tallahatchie, Grenada, and Yalobusha counties with listings of everyone buried in these cemetaries with dates.

Good stuff Wingman. I was looking at the Civil War maps a few nites ago. Anybody else spend a week or two at Camp Tallaha? I spent several as a camper and on staff back in the late 70's. My brother was the Camp Director and my ole man actually cooked for two summers. Man the food was GOOD those two summers. Kids actually went back for seconds and there was never anything left. Any of you remember that?

I think I'm missing something?
But I'm looking all over these pages for something about a ghost...The ghost of Cassidy's Bayou... I don't even see the words Cassidy's Bayou anywhere
Otherwise that is some great info there.

First link, at the bottom under "Webb".
Yeah, I spent time at Tallaha...getting pounded at the tether ball pole. Maybe it had something to do with me being about 5' tall and the rest of the fellas were about 6'.

This post comes to you from the one-time Tallaha record holder for the deadman's float. One hour 36 minutes face down in that spring-fed pool. I was one chilly fat kid when I came out. The prize...a coffee cup, and my momma still has it.

Ya'll know Tallaha is for sale don't you? I think it's 180 acres of mature hardwood with all the buildings, pool, everything. How many of you remember Suicide Hill before they graded it down? Remember the O.A. tapout ceremonies/dance on Thursday nites? They don't do it like that anymore...no more arrows broken over the shoulder, no more pounding on the shoulders of the candidates....wouldn't want to hurt the poor things. Really, who remembers Suicide?

Wingman, Suicide was right behind the mess hall as you climbed above Adirondack campsite. Back then the shooting range was behind the Staff Cabin. You had to climb Suicide to get to Black Oak campsite which was where Troop 85 from Grenada always stayed. I was with Troop 85 and camped there in '75 and '76. I worked at the Archery range in "76 and ran the Trading Post in '77. What years were you there?
