If so, do they work and are they worth the money?

I own one and wouldn't go bow hunting in early October without it. I think it works better than some of the cheaper bug suits because of the netting sewn behind the actual bug material. I've tried some of the cheaper suits and the bugs still can get to you sometimes. The negative is they will rip very easily.

They work great, just dont wear'em in the sticker bushes. They will tear very easily! Use one while I'm working and hunting, I just carry it to where I'm going then put it on.

It works accept when you are seated and the garment is pulled tight. They learn to bite right through your seated area, based on my experience.....[/b]

bug tamer

Postby JLT » Wed Jun 01, 2005 7:52 am

I wear a xl but I bought a xxl so it wouldn't pull tight, but they are pretty hot to wear during bow season. I have one that has been worn twice that I would be willing to sell.

T-E-R-M-O-C-E-L-L. The bug tamer suit works well also. They don't seem to get through it. Just don't, and I mean don't go in the woods without the Thermocell. There's not point in bowhunting without it. The first time you see the "Wall" of mosquitoes out there at 10 feet from you, you will never leave home without it.

I have heard from several hunters that the Thermocell is the thing to have.

How does it work? Someone told me it takes about 10 minutes to build up the "force field" and then you are invincible inside that area. If that is the case, I'd rather have that instead of a hot, flimsy garment that i'd have to wear and worry about tearing.

My uncle has a thermacell he said he could go huntin in shorts and short sleeve shirt with that thing but he wairs his bugtamer top just in case and some light pants

i use just the bugtamer and it works but you better get another mask to cover your face just in case they get through the mesh

but other than that it works pretty good had no problem with it

DONT WAIR IT IN BRIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

What he said, then all you need is a long sleve tshirt and a face mask.
