What a shame to close Camp Tallaha and dis-banded the Delta Area Council, now the north Mississippi Scouts answer to Memphis.

feather, were you there on the closing ceremonies at Tallaha two summers ago?

No Webfoot I wasn't there. I hate to say this but the last time I saw Tallaha was at the end of the summer of 77 when I left the staff to attend Philmont. I've never been back. We tried to get our Petal, MS Scouts in before it closed but couldn't work it out...I wanted them to experience a "real" boy scout camp and esp. the spring fed pool. I'll always regret not thinking of taking them there sooner. They say they are building a new multi-million dollar camp near Sardis. When were you at Tallaha as a camper?
