Used an Echo double reed for years, until my son bought me a Primos Timber Wench this year... it never stuck, and it is easy to control. Seems like the ridges inside the barrell keep the reeds from sticking.

RNT shortbarrel cocacrylic, awesome volume and gets quiet as you want it. It also is capable of that little squeal type whine at the end of the note. I dont think Mr. Richenback (spelling?) markets the cocabola barrel and acrylic insert but if you go to his shop in Stuttgart he will make anything you want. This call became my #1 favorite this year.

Shane Roten double reed, DR-85, Redleg...These are what's on my lanyard. But I do like several other calls. Some of those are a Miss Mallard, Roy Richardson, and a few more. Lots of good calls out there. I've started making my own now. We'll see how that works out....

I use one call, that's all. Southern Game Call, has a wide range of sounds, I can blow it loud or soft and even can imitate a teal hen, and most important it won't stick. If you are willing to spend $125 this would be my choice but if not I don't think you can beat a Haydel for the money.

Fowl Language single reed acrylic and the old meat call Dr-85. Anyone else tried the Fowl Language? And if you did, did you have trouble with it sticking a little bit? (Yes I tried some of the tricks too)

well, i carry an old Shur-Shot deluxe (79 model) a new Shur-Shot,which sounds a little softer, a DR-85 Haydel and a Haydel 2-in-1. it always amazes me what works one day and won't work another day. i do like the older Shur-Shot when they are in close.
