Polk's and Clark's responses to Palmeiro's suspension....

Yep, saw both of them play along with Brantley and Thig, liked Clark the best and still do.

Instead of Raffy being a man and handling the conflict with Will in private, he took it to the media and newspapers, which in turn forced everyone to label Clark as an arrogant jackass peepee.

Like gator said, both are arrogant, Raffy just picked the wrong time to show his and it's now caught up with him.

I've never liked Raffy in the past, and this just adds to it.

I saw them play. Always liked Clark better then and do now. No doubt Palmerio sustained himself over the long hall and will be thought of as the more successful of the two. I believe had Clark seen better circumstances and some luck he would have been one of the best ever. He loved to compete and expected everyone around him to love it like he did. When he went to St. Louis and stepped in the lime light by hitting several homeruns to keep them in the playoff race, it was great. The kind of energy only he could produce when put in a competitive enviroment. Pure hitter...Raffy is probably better, but game on the line, I would rather have Clark.

Never met Palnocchio, but met Will before the fame and fortune. He seemed like a nice guy.

I'm gonna side w/ Will on this one, just because he is a sportsman. i understand he loves hunting/fishing. So, he must be a stand up guy

thats how i feel about raffy.. known him for years, and he's always been a stand up guy.. i first met him in 1985.. yes he was in a slump that year only batting 300 with 19 homers at the time ... lsu game late in the year. crucial series.. bases loaded and raffy's up.. keep in mind that even though he was battin 300 it was 120 points less than what he had batted his sophmore season..

anyway the year had been a struggle for him and he found himself at the plate late in the game with a 3-2 count and the bases loaded...
kaboom he hits one over the right field wall even into the cedar trees.. place goes wild....

i was just fortunate to be in the right spot at the right time and luckly ended up with the ball.. he sent word to the outfield that he wanted to meet whoever had that ball.. he told me that it would mean a lot to him if i could find it to depart with the ball.. seein how he had been through such a frustrating year..

i said sure raffy take the ball... he's gone onto be my friend ever since.. sent me countless tickes to rangers games and so on.. so yea i'm blinded.. i just wish this wasn't true

i figured since you has studied all that high level chemisrty type stuff that you might know something bout all those different types of roids... i sure don't.. i do know that when the mlb does its test for roids theres like 87 different types of roids they check for.. i'd like to more about what he took...

i was just curious as to which ones were ... say more aggressive or whatever.. i mean as i said before i don't have a clue bout those things..

anyway one of two things will happen with this.. the most likely being that this whole era of basball will be tainted by this steriod deal.. or steriods will one day become a common and accepted form

regarding coach polk.. i never been critical of his coachin abiltites... i've realized that coach polk has forgotten more bout baseball than most of us will ever know!!!
i was just trying to relate my experience of knowing raffy to the way you knew coach polk..

I do believe that 10 games is a slap on the wrist, needs to be upwards of 20-30 for the 1st offense.
