Notre Dame and Alabama

Postby SWAG » Tue Sep 27, 2005 12:47 pm

Know I will get some response from webbmaster on this one. Could it be the two schools are seeing their re-emergence into the powerhouses of college football this season. Throw in Penn State looking good and it is starting to feel like old times. Not a fan of any of the three, but college football is better when they are doing well.
Are we gonna get wet?

I don't know about re-emergence. Alot of football left. Not to mention, Alabama is still depleted from unjustified and excessive NCAA sanctions.

We'll probably fade a little bit next year, but I fully expect us to be back at the top within the next 3 years.

If you recall, Oklahoma and USC had their troubles before their recent sucess. Same could be said about Miami when they went on probation in the 90's. They all bounced back more than nicely.

Although, with the exception of Oklahoma, USC and Miami (at the time) play(ed) in cream puff conferences.

Webb, I seriously doubt that Bama will be better in three years. By then Shula will be fired for failing to beat Auburn in three tries. Then the rebuilding starts over again.

You obviously missed where I drew comparisons of USC and Oklahoma.

Both went through many coaching changes. Maybe Shula will be gone. Maybe not. We'll find out alot more at 2:30 saturday.

Webmaster, you got that right about Saturday's game. I'll be there hoping we can win and finally start the climb back to the mountain top! Yeah, we've been down, and in some respects we still are. However, we'll be back. But I'll tell you this, I'll take a loss Saturday if we can hand Tennessee's ass to them later.
