This is the best I can do for ya.

I know that for over half of them the problem is simply they dont know how to make it happen.
This thread is about how to do imaging on the web at this forum or anyplace you wish to do it.
..............................................................................
1. The simple copy and paste link from the Web.
Many times you may find a picture on the web while moving about and want to share it with people on the forums.
Many Times, (but not always)you can do that in three clicks of the mouse and it is really easy if you know what to do.
First the explanation of why not always.
For you to post a picture that you found on someones website, it draws data from their website to post it.
The browser goes to the address of the file and gets the file, and what that does is cause their bandwidth usage to go up.
In some cases if you post it someplace with high traffic, it can go up considerably. (not here)
So some companies have blocked the ability to do this in order to stop paying for that bandwidth.
When this is the case, your posted picture will be a white box with a red X in the top left corner.
Most sites still allow simple linking, but if they dont, you have to go to plan B if you really want to post the pic.
But first plan A, linking to a pic on another site.
Let's say you found a page with a picture that you want to post on a thread at these forums.
Here is the pic and what to do with it.
Press OK to close the properties box.
It doesnt seem like it did anything but it did.
Now you have copied the address of the image onto your computer clipboard,
and you can paste it anywhere you want to. You can paste it into a word document if you wish.
However it wont be anything but a url or address to a picture unless
you paste it along with the proper instructions regarding what to do with it. (in this case put it in your post)
The tags are easy to put in the place.
The one thing you need to be sure about is that your cursor is directly behind the first tag when you paste the address.
The extra space will cause it to fail.
Don't type out a message and then try to go back and insert an image or images where you want them.
Put the images in first, and then type around them.
If you try it the other way, when you push the tag buttons,
they will appear at the bottom of the post below all your typing.
You can move them to where you want them, (or even manually type them) but it is a pain in the butt. Just do the images first.
Here is one quirk in collecting the address that took me forever to figure out. Below I have posted another image.
Cursor over, right click select properties
In the properties box you see the address as usual, but if you copy that and try to use it, it wont work.
The reason is because you cannot see all of the address.
I made the file deliberately long to simulate how many files are nested on websites.
It makes the address so long that all of it does not appear in the properties box, even though it is all there.
The way to solve this is to highlight it starting at the beginning and dragging down and to the right well beyond the address.
Suddenly the rest of the address appears and you know you have highlighted the entire thing.
I now drag to highlight them every time in this way out of habit, just being sure I have the whole thing.
All files that are images must end in a file format of one of these 5
.jpg
.jpeg
.gif
.png
.bmp
If you dont see onr of these at the end of the file name,
it's not showing the whole thing, and you have to drag way long to get it.
...................................................
Variances you may see while trying this:
If you right click on an image to go to properties,
but the box that comes up does not have a properties option at the bottom of it,
it's because the image you are looking at is part of a flash or active x presentation.
It is a small program that contains the image within it,
you cannot copy this like a regular image, thus there is no properties box.
Some web sites put blocking scripts on their pages to stop you from taking or linking to their images.
When you try to right click on it, a variety of messages may come up, copywrite, you are not allowed, etc etc etc.
Regardless of the message, the reason is because they have deliberately stopped you from taking the image.
If you see one that you think just has to be used somewhere, then email me,
because you can go around those blockers but it is a bit of a chore and I wont fool with it for just any ole image.
(Some people protect garbage like it's gold just because they can)
