Honda oil
It is best to use honda oil because it has additive for the clutches in the engine normal motor oil will cause the clutches to break down and cause early faults. but that is just my .02

Best to use the cycles brand like Loneagle said. Because of the additives.

Honda oil
10w-40 with the honda also and make sure to change the little filter and before you leave make sure there is an o'ring with the filter. trust me!!
I guess honda oil is better, but i run castrol generally. It's a pain in the ass to go to the dealership to get honda oil, and it cost about twice as much. I have about 8,000 miles and 1,200 hours on mine with no problems. I don't think there is much difference in the brands other than the container.

20W-50
20W-50 is the best to use, IF you are running the bike hard or in hot temps. It takes longer to heat up and helps the bike run cooler. A lighter weight like 10W-40 is better for winter because it heats up fast and runs a little warmer so you don't get stuck with those hard starts and long choke times to wait for it to heat up. Hope this helps
